These Terms and Conditions explain your rights and obligations when purchasing this service. Please read them carefully. You may have other rights granted by law and these Terms and Conditions do not affect these.

3. Purchasing the Merseyside Counsellor Online Counselling service from us

3.1 By submitting your order you are offering to buy the email counselling service at the price set out in this website and you are allowing us to use your personal details for the purposes of supplying the email counselling service including passing your details on to a qualified BACP Counsellor for response. (Also see paragraph 9 below). You may ask that your details be removed from our system by writing to us at the address above.

4. Delivery

We aim to send your email response within 4 working days.  Merseyside Counsellor take no responsibility for your email not reaching your inbox.  Please make sure that Merseyside Counsellor is in your contact list, as sometimes your response email is not accepted by your server and will not reach your inbox.

5. Merseyside Counsellor Online Counselling service

The description of the Merseyside Counsellor Online Counselling service is as set out on this website. The Merseyside Counsellor Online Counselling service is not intended to replace the service of your GP.

6. Price and payment

6.1 You will pay the price for the Merseyside Counsellor Online Counselling service as detailed on this website, such price is inclusive of Value Added Tax. Payment is made through the PayPal Secure Payment Server.

6.2 All payments must be made at the time of placing the order, by credit or debit card. We accept MasterCard, Visa, Eurocard, Visa Delta, Solo, Maestro, Switch and JCB. If we are unable to accept your order for any reason then we shall, at our option, either not debit your credit card or refund any money paid by you in respect of that order.

9.3 You expressly consent to us transferring information in the following circumstances:

- Where we are legally compelled to do so.
- Where we have reason to believe that someone, especially a child, is at risk of harm.
- Where there is a duty to the public to disclose.
- Where disclosure is permitted by law and required to protect our interest.
- Where disclosure is made at your request or with your consent.

9.4 In addition, when you expressly consent, we may transfer information when we consult with other professionals.

9.5 You expressly consent to Merseyside Counsellor using your personal and sensitive data, in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998, for the purposes of delivering counselling or other services to you, and for managing and quality assuring those services.

9.6 You expressly consent to Merseyside Counselling using the information in your emails to improve its services.

10. Other information of which you need to be aware

10.1 We may not necessarily keep a copy of these Terms and Conditions and your order. We advise you to print a copy of them for your information in the future.

10.2 Any contract between us shall be governed by English law and the courts of England and Wales shall have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. All dealings, correspondence and contact between us shall be made or conducted in the English language.

10.3 Although we have taken steps to ensure that any emails or attachments sent to you in connection with the email consulting service, are virus-free we advise that in keeping with good computing practice, you ensure that they are actually virus-free.

This service is not appropriate for people with mental health problems, as we cannot provide the level or continuity of care necessary.
